Before you look at the picture and start asking me why there is a kiwi on the cup in the photo, I have to admit something. I was planning on making this smoothie have a bigger kiwi taste to it. But both strawberries and oranges have pretty overpowering tastes to begin with. So, even though kiwis are included in the recipe, the smoothie is not green and it didn't end up having that kiwi flavor I had originally planned. But hey, things don't always go as planned. In the end it tasted good, and that is really all that matters.
Strawberry Orange Smoothie
Makes 2-3 servings.
Ingredients: 1 vanilla yogurt cup (6 oz. or about 2/3 cup) 1 cup 100% orange juice 1/2 orange 1/4 cup chopped baby carrots 3 kiwis 1 apple 3 cups frozen strawberries
1. Peel the orange (save half for a snack later or eat it now), cut the ends off of the kiwis, core and chop up the apple.
2. Throw all of the ingredients into your blender in the order they are listed and blend it up until it is smooth.
3. Pour and enjoy!
