This recipe will be all about adding veggies while masking their taste with some great tasting fruits and juices. Because I honestly don’t always get the right amount of veggies per day.
Green Hidden Treasures Smoothie
Makes about 3 servings.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1 peach yogurt cup (6 oz. or about 2/3 cup)
1 kiwi
1 apple
1/3 cup broccoli
1 banana
1/2 cup spinach (remember to pack it into the measuring cup)
1/4 cup alfalfa sprouts (optional, but very healthy)
1 to 2 cups ice
1. Add the juice and yogurt into the blender.
2. Cut the kiwi into slices. Cut the core out of the apple, throw it away and cube up the rest. Cut the broccoli florets from the main stem. Add all of this to the blender.
3. Now add the rest of the ingredients in the order they are listed and blend thoroughly. Make sure there are no chunks left!
4. Pour and enjoy.
