Warning: This drink is rather sugary. Not that that's a bad thing...
A little while ago I got some blue raspberry syrup, like the kind of stuff you would use to make snow cones and the like. I have used it in a few different drinks. Goes great with lemonade (which means I will soon try to make a Blue Raspberry Frozen Lemonade) and some crystal lite type mixes. But I wanted a blue raspberry smoothie. One that would be reminiscent of the ocean. I honestly came up with the name a long time before the actual recipe. When I made it, I had to do a lot of tasting, sipping, add extra stuff and tweak it until I felt that it truly fit the name. Tell me if you have any suggestions on how to make it better. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy!
Blue Ocean Breeze
Makes 2-4 servings.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups milk 1 1/3 cup blue raspberry syrup 1/3 cup cream of coconut 1 tbsp lime juice 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1 medium banana 1 cup pineapple 1/2 cup mango 1 to 2 cups ice
Note: All of the fruit I used to make the recipe was frozen. If using fresh, you may need even more ice.
1. Simply add all the ingredients except ice in the order they are listed into the blender and mix it up.
2. Start adding ice and blending until it reaches the consistence you want.
