This is a great, smooth and light smoothie that isn't overwhelmingly one flavor. There is a delicious blend of both strawberry and cherry with the natural sweetness of the banana coming through as well. I created this one while experimenting with frozen cherries after reading a few articles on them. It all boiled down to the fact that I should probably include more of them in my daily diet. So here's to putting a cherry on top of everything!
Berry Cherry Smoothie
Makes about 2 servings.
Ingredients: 1 vanilla yogurt cup (6 oz. or about 2/3 cup) 1/2 cup 100% apple juice 1/2 cup milk (whole, 1%, 2%, almond, coconut... whatever you like) 1/2 of a ripe banana (eat the rest as a snack later!) 1 cup frozen strawberries 1 cup frozen cherries
1. Add all of the ingredients into the blender in the order listed and blend on high until smooth.
