If you have ever had a bowl of berries mixed with a little sugar and then topped with some whipping cream, you know that it is heavenly. If you haven’t tried it before, maybe you shouldn’t so that you can avoid forming an addiction to it. Well, whether you’ve had it or not, here is a great recipe that tastes just like it. It is simply in the on-the-go, drinkable form.
Berries and Cream Smoothie
Makes 2-3 servings.
Ingredients:
1 cup cream
3/4 cup half and half (regular milk may be substituted)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup raspberries
1/2 cup blackberries
1 cup blueberries
1 cup strawberries (about 20, medium sized)
1/2 cup milk
1. Add cream and half and half into the blender and blend on low speed until it begins to thicken.
2. Add the vanilla and sugar and mix in for about 30 seconds.
3. Combine with all of the berries and blend until smooth, if necessary use the extra milk to make blending easier and add more liquid.
4. Pour, garnish with whipped cream and/or berries and enjoy!
