…will keep the doctor away! Part of the reason apples are so good for you is because they are a great source of fiber and vitamin C.

There are more than 7,500 varieties of apples worldwide. The top nine variety’s are grown in Washington state; Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Gala, Fuji, Honeycrisp, Cripps Pink, Granny Smith, Braeburn, Honeycrisp, Cripps Pink, and Cameo. The most popular variety being Red Delicious – 48% of apples grown in Washington are exported to other countries!

You can eat them raw, cooked, in desserts and my personal favorite – in Smoothies!

Head over to the Apples page to learn more about their growing season, how to pick the best apple, freeze them for future use and smoothie recipes featuring apples.
